hello,

using a ubuntu 8.04 machine on a laptop and FF3b5, i have the same problem.

as i use the built-in gnome systen monitor (which sits in my panel as an animation), i could see that the CPU is loaded by "IOWait" instructions.

i have no idea what causes it; i refuse this being caused by some addon.

i hope it will get fixed soon.

Having the exact same problem. Not sure why. I installed the cpu graph under Ubuntu and sometimes it crunches the CPU horribly when slow, other times, it has no CPU usage and is still randomly slow.

I have the same problem. I'll be using FF3b5 for a very short period of time or days, it is not time dependent then suddenly my resource usage will shoot up to near 100%. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, tried FF on different PCs but get the same results each time. I absolutely hate IE and dislike using it but FF 2's memory leak was wearing on my patience and I have to work somehow!

Hi, nice post. I republished this article in Indonesian. I add a tag to limit the width of source code n tag to ignore the long line source code. I also use style="overflow:auto; width:100%" to arrange the source code apperance. I use gVIm too, but Notepad++ is also possible. You can see my article in http://www.iroel.web.id/portable-windows-dns-server-for-windows.htm, if you don't like, I can remove it

very nice. I'm guessing when stating Vim that means Gvim? I am unaware of a method that can do this in regular vim.
